A NOTE FROM THE PROJECT

Good care starts with clarity.

Upkeep Atlas is a new, independent digital field guide for the small, steady work of taking care of a home.

Why we built this

Homeownership can come with a list of things you've never been taught to check. The internet offers plenty of advice, but turning it into a safe routine takes time. We want to make the organizational part easier: checklists, practical tools and primary references worth keeping.

What the project can — and can't — do

We offer general tools for scheduling, observing and documenting home-care tasks. We do not inspect a property, verify compliance with local codes, perform repairs, or guarantee that one schedule fits every building.

How content is made

The project uses AI assistance for drafting and research organization. Our field notes link to public primary sources and explain limitations. We do not claim personal inspection, credentialed expert review or first-hand testing that hasn't happened. Read our editorial standards.

Our tools are free and require no account. If display advertising is introduced later, it will not change the safety boundaries in our content.
